Owned by me for all of 3 days! 
Not quite perfect, but as it's one of only four/five in the UK, it's worth preserving.
Japanese import. No mods (except a replacement sports exhaust).
Mirror alloys, mirrot T-top glass, climate control, and a few other run-out extras
Supercharger gives a conservative 140ish BHP as standard and 190BHP is available with very mild mods:
Hoping these late Summer evenings are going to last a bit longer.

This one shows how the special paint for this run-out edition changes in different light. Quite grey in some shots, and the blue only really comes through in brighter and very direct light.
Living just around the corner from a police station (and going past the county HQ on 50% of trips) I'm changing the 'show plates' for legal ones.
It's in great condition for the 22yo car, but there are a few things to sort out that go beyond the normal patina. Like this scary scab above the windscreen.

That looks superb, have never seen a s/c mk1 MR2 on the road in the UK but would love to try one.
How long has it been in the uk it looks to be in excellent rot free condition? The trouble with the Mk1 the UK cars is they tend to have real rust problems, finding a not rusty one is quite someting.

I'd never seen a SC in the flesh before, but there are a few around on the MR2 forums. I also had a Eunos Roadster before (which I loved). Same sort of B-road enjoyment instead of outright Vmax. Of course, it's getting harder to find a rust-free one of those now, too!

Imported in '98, I think, so a 9yr start on UK Mk1s. I do know that in '06 or thereabouts, the last-but-one owner had it taken to a specialist chassis clean/protection company. I'll get a real idea on the underside - and find out what might be needed - when I get it up on the ramps at my local indie.I've never driven an NA Mk1 MR2 to know what the real-world difference is! JDM had a 1.5 single cam engine option, but all UK models were the fairly lively twin cam 1.6. Over that, the BHP of the supercharged version is up about 24BHP (modest and conservative Mr Toyota) but torque was up about 45lbft (from memory).

I'm 3 days into ownership, so I'm not sure yet! :/Beautiful car! I've had a very early mk1a and my wife a later mk1b and we both really liked them. I always wanted a supercharged model, but could never afford it at the time, and since then I've got into V8s instead. Determined to own one at some point though, preferably in a 2 tone green over gold (called Sherwood Toning if my memory serves)

Well, there's a V8 Mk1 (Audi engine) being done Oop North. Bit of a squeeze.
RobCrezz - Would still love one of these.
They're not going to get very much cheaper. £500 seems to get a runner, with £1000-1200 getting a pretty good one, and £2000-2500 getting an OK SC.
Old Gregg - Just to keep it tidy and sort the little issues, I hope...?
Exactly. Inspect and thorough rust detection/fix first. Run it as-is for the first year before deciding whether to upgrade the SC pulleys. If they only really add top-end speed/acceleration, then I won't bother. Of course, I may get into that problem where I get it totally sorted as a garage queen, and then have to buy another one to tweak/mod and drive more often.
