That's the spirit! Think Positive I love raw teak as a finish but would probably give it a treatment of a boron based coverage. It stops any nasties growing underneath or in the stainless fitments.

I've had a look at the Boracol 10Y, and ironically it's originally a Danish product, but I can't buy it from the webpage, they only send to Belgium or Holland.
It's a good idea, but I think I have seen similar products, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for something off the shelf here.
