After passing my test in March this year, I had roughly 6 months without being able to drive! frown

but I finally concluded after 6 whole months of looking i was not going to able to afford my own car and insurance, so I turned to my parents, I am very fortunate to have my mum and dad both owning a car, so it was a choice between a Mitsubishi Space Wagon or a VW Polo.

Naturally I chose the Polo, the insurance was not cheap! £1740! Before anyone asks, yes i am paying for it, I dont expect or demand things from my parents I have always paid my way biggrin

I have been insured to drive the Polo for about 6 weeks (ish) and have covered nearly 3000 miles! spent rather a lot of money on petrol.... definitely worth it though! Only been stopped once by the police boxedin

So onto some pictures....

My attempt at some arty shots... hehe

I'm not going to put GF Williams out of business am I? rofl

And after a quick wash today... smile

Mmmmm lick Beading biggrin

Thanks for looking, any comments welcome thumbup

Very Nice!

I like this shape Polo quite alot. yes

I don't think I will get insured on my mums car , it's a 2.0 Toyota Avensis. hehe

That's a fair bit of miles in 6 weeks(ish). What does your mum use now. laugh

Oh and lastly, was the Police just a routine stop or did you VMAX the Polo? wink

Again, it looks great! thumbup

hehe

It was for 'Causing too much noise'rofl I then went down one of my favourite roads after I passed them (didn't see they were there) and booted it to about a lepton, bear in mind it was a single carriageway NSL road.

Got to the end and saw in my rear view mirror the unmistakeable Astra panda car, which decided to follow me for around 8 miles and pull me hehe

I've had a good number of those as courtesy cars from VW dealers.

I reckon they're the best supermini you can buy - very nicely finished, hold their value well, reliable, robust etc.

Always loved the pattern in the seat fabric.

I would have to agree!

I think if you put either some coil-overs or some stiff springs, along with sticky tyres, it would handle pretty nicely too! biggrin

Not my policy, I'm only a named driver, but I'm still paying for all of it even though my mum and dad on their own was £250!
