Care to elaborate? What I liked about it was the flexibility of the cockpit space. I plan to keep the boat in the UK and as the weather is changeable, I like the idea of being able to enclose the whole area easily.What don't you like about it?

As for becoming a modern classic? I personally don't think so. I applaud Sealine for challenging the norm (that opportunity doesn't come round very often I can tell you!), but I believe their current range wont age well at all, an important consideration when it comes to re-sale value!

A motorboat is a luxury item, possibly the most expensive toy in your toy cupboard, to my mind there is no need for an ugly boat.

but I do wonder why this particular boat? IMHO you could get yourself something very tasty for the sort of dough you need to part with for this.Is there one going super cheap you are aware of?
Have you looked at any boats in the flesh?
Perhaps do a advanced search on www.theyachtmarket.com for what delights are available within your price range and your decision on what boat you want may change

I have to say that I do not agree with any of you. Indeed, many, many people do not agree with you when it comes to the Sealine SC35.
The SC35 is probably the best in its class in terms of capability and value for money.
It has also won numerous awards for being best in class.
It is also, I understand, the most successful and best selling boat Fairline have ever made.
It must also be said that, judging by the opinions of owners on the dedicated forums, people who actually own SC35's seem to like them very much.
The success of the boat cannot be denied. It has won awards and Sealine have sold loads of them.
And I think it looks rather nice - but a different coloured roof helps a lot.

I dont doubt its a good boat in many ways, but in my book its still pug ugly.

I'm relatively new to boats. I did toy with buying a much bigger, more expensive Sunseeker a few years back but decided I wouldn't use it enough. I have seen an SC35 in the flesh and I've already explained what I liked about it. I know there is a deal to be done on ordering a new one but that wasn't my main motivator, it was the flexibility of the cockpit space. but I do wonder why this particular boat?
