Today over Halesworth golfcourse in glorious sunshine and that sound it makes ...was a Spitfire looping the loop , not once but twice, fantastic...diving out of the sun flying at a pretty low altitude too.....spell binding !!!!!

They are an epic sight thats for sure. Not quite the same for me today whilst on the golf course, 757's don't quite sound or look the same really

This is also very true, although i dare say they could, but the airline would go bust once the passengers sued them

The sound of a Spitfire/Hurricane is truly magnificent - hearing and seeing a Spitfire gives me goosebumps .

Now I just need to save up the £5k to get to fly in one...

Was quite a poignant episode for me seeing the Spitfire, my Dad was stationed at R.A.F. Bentwater in 1942 and was an aircraft fitter.

Aside from the subject , J F Kennedy`s elder brother Joseph P. Kennedy was killed over Halesworth in 1944 taking part in Operation Aphrodite.

Concorde could do a fully developed 1g roll. I understand that each of the 13 delivered was wound up and then passed to the receiving airline to be un-wound.

He would have had a lot more respect and understanding of the military and the impact of taking military action in other countries.
