Bentley Turbo R Immobiliser pbms

Gents,since yesterday it would seem I can sometimes unlike the car with the electronic dongle but when I insert the key in the ignition it makes a click and all power goes off.It sometimes comes back if I wait,I have tried the battery switch in the boot but nil help.Manual lockin/unlocking ok but obviously no power/no ignition etc.Any ideas or help gratefully appreciated.Car stuck in car park at the moment.Brgds

Is the click comming from the engine bay? . . . . . . if so, you may just have a flat battery

I second Andrew's thought. Batteries are weird in how they die. They'll have enough juice to light everything up but when asked for cranking amps, can't produce. And I've seen it happen intermittently, indicating a bad cell in the battery. Try that route first.
