I am experiencing something bizarre and Google isn't finding anything for me.

I I'm driving with the map on but not set to a destination, every single time I go around this junction: http://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=51.530074,-0.167871&a... coming from Wellington Rd onto Park Rd, it crashes!

At first I thought what on earth as it flashed red and then black and rebooted. Second time it happened I didn't realise it was the same place. Third time in exactly the same place I thought what a freaky coincidence but nothing more of it. Fourth time was a 'right there's definitely something wrong' and then when I intentionally went to test for the Fifth time and since I can confirmed that it does indeed crash every single time at this roundabout.

The car is an April 2011 Countryman Cooper S with Media and Chilli packs, I haven't yet asked Mini about this but it's quite frankly bizarre!

Any thoughts?

A few months on and I'm still completely clueless as to this one!

For interest, it is right here that it happens: http://g.co/maps/2hw37

interesting... when i used to use a tomtom it would always cut out when i'd go over the bridge southbound next to Mi5 and i googled it and found out they have some big scale transponders they used there which send sat navs a bit crazy... but then I now drive BMW's across that way with Media Pack Professional systems, and have no issues at all!

How odd!

Not quite the same, but ours did something similar. Get about 5 miles away it would halt and wouldn't restart again, the message came up that it needed the maps to be reloaded. It's currenly half way through getting a fix, we now have a new sat nav unit, the maps get loaded on Monday.

Not sure this is the same Sat Nav as yours as ours is a facelifted June 11 build,

Maybe you need the maps to be reloaded?

Mine was delivered April 11 so a pretty similar build but I'm not sure it's the same problem but possibly can be fixed by the same cure.

It's just such a bizarre issue and like I say it's only ever frozen in the one specific location.

There was more to ours....it started reverting to German, then the phone icon went....then the DAB.

Just a thought the map file could be corrupted.
