Just having a catchup with a south African chap in the office talking rugby.

Anyway one of the girls walked past with a limp or some sort so I asked as you would if everything was fine and it was her back.
At which point the South African (who doesn't know this lady at all) said it must be all those big cocks you've been having!!!! I'm deadly serious.

She really didn't look very pleased at that comment and walked away - in the direction of HR.

Now there were 5 others who heard it clearly so the question is if she has gone to HR and HR take it up would it be gross misconduct or a formal warning of inappropriate behaviour?

Either way I cannot imagine it will aid his career.

For those of you wondering what she is like. Well a very tidy shape with plenty up top about 28 he is just 40.

So will he get off (of the HR issue) will she really go to HR or could it be the start to a blossoming relationship.
I'd say he will get a formal warning.

South African in sexist nobber comment shocker!
No doubt that's what he does to all women. yes

When he's being escorted off the premises hold up an imaginary photo id and say, in a strong Afrkaan English accent "DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITEEEEAAAY" hehe

there's no way you'd get sacked for that unless they are already looking for an excuse to do so. poor taste comment maybe, but non sackable imo.

if he's worried then he should be making an apology sharpish.

If she has one to HR and made a formal complaint, i'd imagine he'll be on his way out of the company pretty soon.

Me? No not personally. biggrin

What he said is indeed worthy of many lad points, however I feel it is totally inappropriate in today's society to make such comments.

Well I've had a chat with her.
She wasnt too impressed however she is going to play him at his own game. Ie she didn't go to HR nor will she but she will be telling he did via email etc.

Plus she clarified it happened by opening a chest of draws

He didn't say it because he's South African, he said it because he's a knob.

Out of interest, why did you misquote the OP?

He won't thank you for it.
