For anyone who missed this in 2006, this programme is now on the BBC Archive website.

2 hours of astro-bliss for space cadets like me.

Thought of watching ity but I've seen that episode a few times now.

Instead, I've been watching the Apollo 12 episode of the HBO series, "From the Earth to the Moon".

Agreed.

Well acted.

Factually accurate.

Personalises the individuals involved.

It was an amazing era. Looking back it was incredible how the first Moon landing had the entire planet agog, yet by the last mission it was met with almost total indifference
