Been waiting for this for ages. Love the book. Not sure how it will translate into film though.

Sure Johnny Depp and Bruce Robinson will give it a good go.

been so excited waiting for this, I re-read the book last week as I'd heard nothing about the film for ages. I'd say it's about my second favourite book - HST's very own "Great American Novel", his answer to The Great Gatsby.

Looks like they have exercised some poetic license with the story, but I will still make the effort to see it.

Seen the trailer, slightly disappointed that the film seems to take a different direction to the book but it was to be expected really.

I'm still looking forward to seeing it though, Hunter S. Thompson is a "hero" of mine.
