It's home, finally, after a lot of aggro and some complications the Camaro is down south.

The first thing on the todo list is replace the entire exhaust system. I've ordered a new performance set of heads with some 3 inch pipe and cherry bombs.

The next thing on my list is get rid of those stripes. To me they look clumsy going under the vents, and they don't continue on the back of the car so I'll take them off and paint the vents black.

There's a few little bits and pieces, some of the weather stripping around the windows is shot so getting some new rubber in, the drivers side lock is shot so that'll need replacing, and the trunk doesn't shut properly unless you fiddle with the catch, again a fairly easy fix.

Ultimately I'd like to drop a 350 in and get some proper performance out of this thing, but that's probably 12 to 18 months away.

Just to say I dig your determination dude. Many people would not bother to take the risks or travel the distances. I hope your hand improves so you can carry on with the work.

yes, that is my hand smile It's gone all scabby now.

I've replaced the HT lead that was causing the issues, luckily I live round the corner from Camberley Auto Factors, and they got some similar leads for a rover V8. So off with the old and on with the new, and nightmare now sounds like he should and is no longer lumpy.

I'm pleased you got it safe and sound. Are we going to get to see some more pictures of it?! Let's see what it looks like inside and in the engine bay!

The plate will go as soon as I get the correct documents across to craigs plates and get some new plates made up.
The fogs will go as well.
I've just ordered a set of summit racing lowering springs, and full length hedman headers, these should be with me next weekend biggrin

love it, the replacement was ugly beyond belief, always loved cameros and firebirds, all that american trash tv in the 70's does that to you

Car looks fantastic! Are you still in Brackers? If so, I might have to pop round and see it in the flesh!

The hedman headers I ordered on Friday from summit should be here later this week, along with some summit racing springs, I'll update as work progresses.
And rumple, spanky may not have won any beauty competitions but he was truly fking awesome! A legend in his own time.

Not in Brackers anymore, but not far, moved to farnbourgh/Hawley side (Just up past Camberley Auto Factors) will hopefully make it to some local get togethers soon, it's been about 3 years since I attended an SAS get together.

I had 89 IROC-Z when I lived in the US. Objectively it was rubbish in every way but I absolutely loved that car.
