Any ideas guys. I parted company with my employer yesterday. Was not enjoying the job and hated the cold calling and new business side of things.

Have been in sales for years now in the IT industry. Had a couple of interviews this week and one lined up for next week already.

See myself as better as an Internal sales/sales support. I am quite technical and know servers/storage well.

We decided to part company mutually. No issues with references etc. but I need a job as I need to pay the bills.

Anybody any ideas? Skills are relationship building, quotes and order processing. Used to dealing with distributors and manufacturers to get best pricing to maximise profits and have the ability to cross/up sell

Anybody need anybody to do any casual work while I get sorted around Leeds/Huddesrfield/Halifax?

I was going to ask you whereabouts you were but checked your profile. Unfortunately too far away as the company I work that are hiring (just Tech support) are in London.

Sorry Steve, I wish you luck on the search though buddy.

Thanks for that. Don't think tech support is really my thing as I am more of a "talk a good game" sales support type. Have a couple of interviews lined up and will take some seasonal work on while I get sorted if i have to. I need a job but want my next one to be a good choice career wise as i am sick of treading water

Just an update for anybody looking for work and to let you know that things are maybe not as bad as some would have us believe.

Had 2 interviews and a phone interview last week after leaving. Phone interview led to a face to face yesterday.

Also turned a few down as they were same role as I just left or ones that didn't interest me tbh

Just had a call with an offer. They are taking references as we speak. Not confirmed the package but the basic advertised is higher than I was on even if they offer me the lower end

I really like the sound of the role and the responsibilities surrounding it.

To say I am pleased would be an understatement biggrin
