Just back from hols and found out that 558 will be flying tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to get a reasonable view of take-off and landing from somewhere around the airport? If so, where exactly and where is best to park without causing problems for others? Don't mind paying, but obviously too late to apply for tickets.

Cheers in advance.

why is she overflying Wellesbourne?

OK more to the point why didn't she overfly Wellesbourne today/yesterday (I haven't been to bed yet) when I was there frown

That's the sort of thing I was looking for - thanks! I'm sure it'll be busy, but might go take my chances if it's dry.

Oh I might have to pop down the road if I don't end up with too many things to do. It's about time I saw her flying properly.

Quick glimpse of XH558 on the ITV4 channel as she flew over Silverstone. BTCC finale.

I was at the fence at the south end of the runway. First time I've seen her fly since VTTS fixed her up, very impressive aircraft. I got a couple of pics but being a point n shoot they've not come out that well. The noise isn't something to forget either, wonderous thing. Once uploaded I'll bung a few up.

Flew pretty low over my house just outside Sleaford (next to Cranwell) at about 3pm ish.

I had been outside most of the day building decking and had just gone inside to make a drink when something very loud went over. By the time I had rushed outside it had gone behind the trees. Asked the wife what it was she answered "A big plane with swoopy wings". She said it was very low and banked over quite steeply. Maybe showing off to the trainees at Cranwell. Wish my garden wasn't in the only dip in Lincolnshire and the neighbours would trim their willow. I'm going to have to build a viewing platform after I've finshed the decking!
