You want something like this Paul

Going through the same myself, but don't need the swivel. Amazon seem to do a really good range at some deeply discounted prices.

I've got this one for my 42" plasma:

You can move the screen in and out and tilt it left/right and up/down. It attaches to the wall with chunky bolts (6 or 8 I think) so I'm confident it's not going anywhere!

My Dad got one from Tesco. It wasn't bad, but he was unconvinced of the strength of the wall mounting plate. So he welded a half inch steel plate to it before using 12mm expanding bolts into the wall and did a few pull ups on it to make sure it would be up to the task.
I think the house will fall down before the bracket.
These are great quality and not a bad price: http://www.sanus.com/eu/en/products/visionmount/
With flush mounts they are all much of a muchness, but when you are fitting a movable bracket fit a good one, you need tight tolerances, smooth action and one that stays where it is put.
