had a fibreglass car painted in 2 pack recently, and have since flatted and machine polished with G3 compound to get it nice, even and shiny, but what polish or wax (dont hate me but i dont know the difference!) do i need for that nice deep 'new car' shine?
ideally something i can pick up at a motor factors, car accessory shop rather than only available after a 3 day trek on the back of a Yak up a Himalayan mountian side!

cheers in advance

You'll need to refine the paint now, with G6 or 3M Extrafine (yellow top) with a softish foam pad, and further refined with G10 or Ultrafina and a soft foam pad.
That'll give you the deep gloss and imperfection-free finish you're looking for.
A final wipedown with a slow flashing panel wipe will prepare the paint for your wax/sealant product, with a couple of plush microfiber cloths.
Other polishes (abrasive compounds) are Scholl, Meguiar's, Presta, etc.

Is it 1952?

You'll be wanting a wax or synthetic sealant, not a polish as such. The most durable wax is probably Collinite 475 (or 915 for a depper look on darker paints), and it's pretty inexpensive too.
