Hi all,

I'm looking for a good mulit use remote control, it has to operate the following:

1. Sky HD 1TB BOX
2. Marantz amplifier
3. Panasonic blu ray player
4. Panasonic TV

I'm looking for a really good, pref touch control remote tha is multi functional and can be programmed with macros. I've got a nevo c3 just now, but it's frustrating to use!

The tricky bit is that all my hifi, amp etc is all hidden in a remote cabinet, so I need a remote that will work with some kind of rf extender as their is no "line of sight" options and infra red won't work.

Any ideas? No real budget if that helps!

Cheer in advance!

Logitc Harmony 1100 here...... it's fine unitl you either switch something by hand, or with the another remote (but thats just a matter of getting used to using one remote instead of 8 or 9), overall great as you can programmme mutli tasks to one touch (ie tv on, amp on, selecet reight channel on amp, processor on, select right channel on processor, blue ray player).

There are better remotes out there though some at great cost....... the Harmony ones are good value for money IMHO.

I use the Harmony One and all my stuff is hidden.

I use something like this http://www.keene.co.uk/electronic/keene-electronic... to enable me to control the hidden bits. Works perfectly. Same brand just not that kit.

Cheers guys.

Have to say to harmony 1100 looks the dogs dangly bits!

Me thinks an order for one is looking likely! What are they like to set up initially? The nevo c3 is a right PIA!

Cheers for the replies!

My Tosh panel doesn't have an obvious, single button to switch it to HDMI1 input, I have to cycle through all 7 inputs which is tedious. Is the Harmony a solution to this (albeit a rather expensive one)?

That is exactly my setup too smile Works flawlessly and no RF lag since no RF.

Hi,

Sony tablet looks good, but im a IPad man!

Ordered a harmony 1100 today, with the IR kit from Keane (great, helpful and quick company to deal with by the way!)

Will see just how 'easy' it is to set up when the delivery company remembers where Scotland is!

I only managed to get it from Amazon at £197 inc delivery, so pretty much the best price you will get one for. I ordered mine yesterday and it arrived this morning to NE Scotland! Cant complain about that.
