I have been known to keep cars in storage instead of selling them after I am done with them... Here are a couple of my favorites
1981 corvette. There are only 7 vetts on the registry with the 06 paint code (mahogany metallic) and the 672 trim code (cinnabar leather)only 1 is known to have the 4 speed and a posi rear end... this is it
64 1/2 mustang project. This is currently undergoing a frame off restoration. This was originally my dad's car, when new. There were no Shelby GT350 models sold for the 64 1/2 model year, but this one is a K code with the solid lifter 289 and the toploader 4 speed, which means all the shelby options, without the badging. The story is that my dad knew someone at Shelby American, and got this from their Van Nuys shop. Someday my daughter will inherit this car

supposedly going to be a daily driver 1996 SL500, that still does not have 90K on the odometer

I live in the mountains of Northern CA
The corvette just needs new gas. I let it sit until the gas whet bad in the tank. The healey is my current resto. The mustang is a father/son project that progresses slowly because of my dad's health. That is a car I remember from my childhood, and I cannot imagine it being done without my dad's influence.

I had a powerdyne supercharger on the pickup for a while. I took it off. Every time the weather got bad, the back end was all over the road. I had 305/75/16s on it, and I was always spinning tires, instead of getting traction.
I took it off, installed a stroker crank, longer rods, hyperueutectic pistons and ported the heads. Then I dropped back to 285/75/16s and the pickup is far more usable, especially off road.
I also installed an air locker kit in the front differential . .
It puts out about 450 horsepower, but well over 550 lb ft of torque. It rides a little rough. The lift adds another spring to the front, so ride suffers, but there is no stopping it when you want it to go. The pic makes it look like it is lower in the front than the rear, but that is definitely not the case. That is just the way it was sitting, and the low spot in my driveway
This pic gives a more appropriate basis for comparison, to show the size of the pickup

Did you assume I have never encountered a troll before?at the time, they were the best Momo had to offer for that car, in a 17 inch for a winter tire. I have 19 inch Bazo rims for summer tires as well. Just to be certain you get the right effect, you may want to talk trash about them as well
