Countryman - any deals about?
Discussion
As the title suggests, has anyone come across any good deals on new ones? I am going to place an order on one imminently (this month if I can find a dealer needing one extra car).
I have recently been offered circa 10% off brand new (physical and to order) cars from other marques but am not sure what the situation is with Mini. I have been offered a pre-reg car with 10% off but my feeling is that it isn't enough given that the clock is already ticking.
Information appreciated please guys.
I work for a BMW/MINI dealership. To tell you the truth, not many dealerships are giving discounts to non-finance customers at the moment. 1 in 3 of every MINI orders last quarter was for an R60, so demand is hugely high. Our margin in these is 7% (believe it or not, that's it!)... so if you push you could probably get 3% (off the chassis, not the options). I'm low on new orders this quarter - I could probably do 5%, but not more than that!

HiWhat economy are you getting from this? Looking At buying a 2.0 cooper SD and just took a 1.6d countryman out for the day. Brochure says 65mpg combined but driving sensiblly today I only got 43mpg!! 7k miles on it too.
Would not be impressed with that.
Thanks a mil.

Don't believe 65mpg but 43 seems low. I haven't done a proper calculation but I'm expecting 50 ish. What economy are you getting from this? Thanks for the response. I'd be expecting more than 50 myself. I have a 1.9diesel laguna estate (2003) for a run- around and she gives me 50 mpg!!!
Maybe I am being pessimistic. To be honest when compared to our other cars the Mini sips fuel so we probably won't look too closely at it.Gassing Station | New MINIs | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
