Hi All,

1. It's a Citroen ( I know, but it was the best deal I could find at the time!)

2. It's recently developed these weird white handprints on the paintwork ( and No, I haven't been dogging again!!), and I can't seem to get rid of them.

I've got T-Cut and some other Halfords T Cutty type stuff, but I'm a bit worried that this is too industrial for the job.
I've tried cleaning it with all sorts, but it keeps coming back - any tips?

What about cleaning it with petrol/meths/something alcoholic?

Failing that, a wet polish?

Possibly a daft question but what exactly is a 'wet polish'?

A cutting compound, like an industrial/professional strength T-cut and a machine buffer - it may also be called a "mop" - I had it done on some fading paintwork a few years ago and it worked a treat. May need to go to a bodyshop to get it done though.

That looks like the paint/lacquer has been damaged to me? I'm not an expert on paint, but I'd hesitate to polish that for fear of making the area larger.

Looks like staining from sun cream or a moisturiser type cream.

Sometimes it will machine polish sometimes it won't.

^^^^^^Likely to be what he said.
See a lot of it during hot weather when everyone is slathering themselves with sun tan cream & then put their hands on the car.
Usually polish it out with Farecla G3 or 3M Ultrafine & a compounding mop.
