There seems to be some chips around that are said to improve BHP and torque however I'm yet to hear anything consistent about these.

Chips apart, well errr there's nothing to be done cheaply I'm afraid.
Either sell the car and get a turbo or save for a SFR supercharger fitted by 9M.

We 944ers on the PCGB forum and Titanic email list have just had a group rolling road day at JamSport in Northampton. We had 4 S2's turn up ranging from bog standard to the usual chip, exhuast and air filter. A spreadsheet of the results and scans of all the graphs can be seen here www.cannell.co.uk/Dyno%20Day%20190604.htm

One of the guys did a before and after run replacing the standard chip with a Blitzchip and gained 8bhp. These chips are sold by EECtuner who advertises on ebay for around £40

The highest S2 was over 250bhp which made everyone suspicious about accuracy, but several standard cars posted within a few bhp of their factory figure so we have to put that high figure down to the fact it had a 7200 rpm limit

How can a "stock" S2 deliver 228 bhp at the flywheel ?
