Not sure if I am able to post this in here, but I will try.

Wanted - Serious Bar Person/Manager who wants to run their own mini-business in France. MUST speak French, MUST be Self -Motivated, MUST Be keen to help set up the project and run it ! For more details please contact me! This is a great opportunity with a fantastic company. GET IN TOUCH NOW !

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to manage their own bar in the French Alps !

You will be wholly responsible for setting up and managing a new bar, you will provide the energy, drive and leadership to make this project a success.

The bar is perfectly positioned right at the bottom of the main lift in and out of Brides les Bains in the 3 Vallees. We are working with a clean sheet and have little competition in resort, so want to cater for the immediate après ski and evening trade. You will create a lively, welcoming and friendly bar which is popular with holiday makers of all nationalities. We anticipate that the bar will have regular live music and show major sports events.

Your reward
French Minimum wage + accommodation
Profit share 20% and a further 10% bonus available.
Package negotiable.

Duties include:
• Allocation of duties to bar staff during their shifts
• Management and supervision of bar staff
• Stock taking and ordering
• Accepting deliveries and store room management
• Advertising the bar locally and organising evening events
• Checking TV schedules for popular football and sports events and making sure they are advertised and aired
• Keeping bar music playlist updated
• Serving drinks during après-ski and in the evening
• Ensuring the bar is kept well organised and clean at all times
• Cash handling and close down (cashing up)
• Following rules and regulations set out by the Area Manager
• Ensuring legal compliance of the bar

REQUIREMENTS
Over 21 years old
Previous bar management experience essential
Previous ski season experience preferable
Responsible, reliable and hardworking
Sociable with a friendly attitude
High standard of customer service
High standard of cleanliness and presentation
Good management skills
Excellent French

I think the last bit stands for "and I claim my five pounds"

I think he means there is thread in the business forum by obiwonkey that is asking for people with experience of buying a bar in the Alps.

Exactly. It was strange to see two threads running on a similar but seemingly not connected topic i.e. owning and working in a French bar/restaurant.

thats two fails now Eric, you need to be careful. - the first was to suggest no-one in PH would be able to assist with my query and the second in here...youre slipping! wink
