Crikey - I'm going round roundabouts at ridiculous speeds in my Wedge - 40 mph or more and have to brake for the speed limit the other side - and that is turning right! And this is after breaking to enter said roundabout! I haven't got it unstuck yet so it must be due to the stiff race set-up the car has got. I daren't push it any further cos I'll just get dizzy and need a 'G' suit, and I have a sneaky feeling that when it breaks it'll do so big time!

What'll yours do mister?

Well, I guess it depends on the roundabout. Those little bumps in the middle of the road are bu99ers to get round at anything above 30 (especially the off-set double ones), whilst a "circulatory system" like the Shepherd and Flock (A31) is on at speeds well in excess of the legal limit (it's in an NSL) ... allegedly! - Streaky

my favorite hi 'g' bend is the eastbound m25 to south bound a21 in kent. It's a 270 degree tightening sweeper with a good surface and nice camber. In the dry at maximum attack it's a real pressed into the door rippled tarmac curve in the wedge!

I went round the M6 one at Penrith today at over 50.. IN THE VAN!

A large-ish local (to me) r'about is possible at 50 in the TVR; I tried the Esprit last weekend and was in the process of changing up a gear when something pulled out in front of me... I was doing 55 at that point... my bro used to get his knee down on a bike in the same place...

Had the works tranny side ways around one once. Good job I was working away from home and a spare pair of kegs in me overnight bag.

Well the one I'm talking about is a standard roundabout with kerbs and proper greenery in the middle. I think it is about 15 - 20m diameter - must look again to check size. This is a slow down to check for traffic coming from village to right and then boot it round to exit to the right and then brake hard for 30 mph speed limit. It is I think a bit more than a 90 degree right turn.

Last chance to check speed before making sure get right exit and it seems to be over 40 mph. Get the wrong exit and you're straight in to the local crematorium!

I wonder whether this is the entrance to the crematorium that a local councillor described as, "a death-trap"?
