Mods, bear with me here - I know this isnt about Lambo's/Ferrari's etc, but I dont post anywhere else on PH + fellow Lambo/Ferrari owners etc are likely to have some advice for me here (please dont move this thread)

Esteemed PH chums, can anyone recommend any decent garage flooring solutions (inc installation as I am pants at manual stuff) for my garage (Herts area)

TIA

Industrial Epoxy coatings give a nice looking, yet easy to clean finish . . . IIRC, there was a bod on one of the Ferrari forums who had a company that installed epoxy including patterns and logos etc. into the surface smile

garage construction is now more or less finished, so i'm looking too

i'm currently investigating amtico or karndean vinyl tiles : really convincing stone look, but possibly more traffic and temperature resilient

I have Ecotile in my garage. It's much better than the painted floor as it was previously. I didn't think it was too expensive, and it is an absolute piece of piss to install yourself. I did my 5m square garage in a morning. The only slightly faffy part is cutting the tiles for the edges, I think a circular saw would be the best thing to use if you had one.

I simply got a local tiler, who got some standard White ceramic tiles, used dark grey grout and it looked stunning. Easy to mop clean and a double garage all done for £700 smile

I had a garage makeover by Garagetek and went for a resin floor. Looks great, is easy to clean and highly recommended.

Website here - check out the photo gallery too

Hi guys
Seems there are some great products out there now.
I did my floor a few years back with ceramic tiles.
At the time there were a few plastic type tiles available but would have cost a bit ,110 sq /mtrs.
Also not sure if dust ,water can get under the plastic tiles.
Ceramics not to user friendly when breaking out two or more 3 ton jacks. So had the idea to use some alloy checker plate at the rear, which i can abuse with jacks ,axle stands etc.
Took me forever ,but kinda cool biggrin

I was fed up with the concrete paint lifting all the time etc etc, so I tiled the whole floor and used half a tile as an upstand all the way round too. White walls, dark grey tiles (£1 each from tops tiles) and black grout. Looks amazing and so easy to keep clean. Should have done it years ago.

Sorry, forgot the vital bit...double garage, plus a single...all in and fitted £1k.

I Ordered mine from http://www.racedeck.com/ in the states, had to pay vat and import duty when they arrived, but all went very smoothly, they arranged door to door shipping.
Product was really high quality, was very impressed - have had it down for a year now, and still good as new.

Can't remember total cost something like £6.5k all in, but that was for 2700 sq ft.

will try and upload a photo later
