Chilli and cheese on toast looks yummy.
My giant sandwich effort for the day:
Crusty herby bread, salami, ham, manchego cheese, cucumber, mayo and gooseberry relish (made at Blenheim palace and truely lovely). Yum:
would have been a lot better with salad cream than mayo, as it has some flavour to it. mayo is just so bland, plus I cant eat egg an I get salad cream with no egg in it.My giant sandwich effort for the day:

also, needs a couple more bits of those meats, otherwise a good effort

Nooooo, salad cream would have overpowered the finer and more subtle flavours of the cheese and meats. Mayo is there for moisture and fat content only also, needs a couple more bits of those meats, otherwise a good effort
More meat would have happened but I ran out of salami (hence the extra ham to fill it up)!

Salad cream has a place, but mayo is a useful delivery mechanism and can be made 'interesting' and tasty very easily with e.g. chilli flakes or mustard. also, needs a couple more bits of those meats, otherwise a good effort
The low fat ones are, however, st.
