Do you realise how much money this post is going to cost me?! http://uk.movieposter.com/q/Star+Wars_posters.html

In my local cinema in about '84 or '85 they showed all 3 movies one after the other, was an amazing day, 7 hours in the cinema in total.
I got a poster that advertised it, had all 3 movies on and the date, I have no idea what I did with that poster, but I imagine it's worth quite a bit now.

Watch out if you're looking at buying the single trilogy poster above. Commercial reprints exist by a company called Zigzag which are fairly worthless. They will be smaller than the official size of 30"x40" though
The £12k one at the top of first post is the original design by the Hildebrandt brothers (that doesn't resemble Ford/Hamill etc), although £12k is excessive...you could get one for £2000-ish (OK, still not a "bargain") with some patience. Christie's twice annual "vintage film poster" sales in South Kensington is the most likely venue. Just get ready for painful buyers premiums and shipping fees, based on personal experience.
For the original trilogy as 3 separate posters, you could compile the set for £400 to £500, again with a little patience, but on ebay for those.
I've had a moderate sideline in buying/selling posters like this for over 10 years so let me know if you need any more info.
