I'll be flying into Belfast airport in a few months for a wedding during a long weekend. The function is in a hotel outside of Belfast "in the countryside".
Aside from the 1-day of wedding functions, I'm really looking forward to the idea of also doing a bit of good driving around and sight seeing.
I'm finding it difficult to find through online searches any prestige or luxury car hire options. Avis, Hertz, Enterprise etc. all have specific 'prestige' offerings in the major English cities, for example.
What options are available to me for Belfast?

Northern Ireland is a very small market for such things. You may struggle to find something.

I run Hire7 - Sportscar Hire. We offer Caterham 7 hire, from the very hotel I think you're talking about (La Mon?). Collect it at 8am, leave it back at 9pm and it's only £165 mid-week. Website is http://www.hire7.co.uk Give me a shout if we can help. Willie

Have you ever been to N.Ireland before? I think everyone will agree the amount of roads to choose from are spectacular, and I do remember seeing hire 7 offering suggested routes throughout N.Ireland for your day of fun! I defo think I'll be hiring one of those at some stage next year, as It's one of the cars I've never had the opportunity to drive. We had sold the silver Porsche to the guy that runs performance car hire, really sound bloke who's down to earth and a bit of banter too. Of course the car is also top quality  It really depends on your budget and what type of driving your after? Sense of occasion with a relaxed drive offering the occasional sprint? Or all experiencing open top fun!

Someone else booked it - can't remember the name. It's somewhere in Bangor. The Caterham idea sounds awesome. Probably will not work out for this trip. Thanks for your reply! Not been to N.Ireland before. Have heard of the awesome roads, and relatively light traffic on them too. With a couple of passengers, something like a M5 or Quattroporte would have been pretty much perfect. I think I may settle for something from Hertz. Either the Range Rover idea or a large Merc. As it's your first time here, then give the Antrim Coast Road (Larne to Portrush) a go. Swing a right after Cushendun and do the Torr Head Scenic Route. It's a tight road, but the scenery on a clear day is worth it. Best heading south for Torr.
There are other roads, but they're harder to link into a good all day route without doing it on a map. The Coast Road is fantastic and you can belt up it, turn around and come straight back down again. Great drive, although a few moving chicanes at peak times.

p.s. Let us know when you're coming and we'll try to organise good weather. Mightn't be able to get you the sun, but should be able to get warm rain at least.
