Hello !!!!!!!!!!!
I owned the car for 3 years so I should know what colour it was - Bracken !!!!!!
Its a 30+ year old photo that's been scanned hence the colour may not look exactly as it was in the flesh, but give me some credit for knowing the colour of my own car
LBS, are you sure it's not Sherwood Green? I owned the car for 3 years so I should know what colour it was - Bracken !!!!!!

I bought this car in the late 80's. The rear chassis member rusted through and I had the body taken off and chassis repaired.I advertised it in the exchange and mart, had about 20 phone calls before the E&M was published and a blacked out Mercedes drove up from London. They offered me £5500 in a briefcase which I declined' they did swear. I had no more viewings, the exhaust blew (replaced) and I advertised it in the local paper selling it in Norfolk (early 90's) for £6000.

TR6s remain the classic car bargain. I don't mean the £25K plus garage queens or the £10K and below rot boxes but the £15-£20K cars that are driven regularly, enthusiast maintained and you can just jump in and drive.
They sit on the motorway at 80 all day but they are best on the back roads where you can throw them about with joy and glee.
Fantastic.

Nice to see the correct (for the period) reflective plates too. It makes me wince when I see cars of that period with black and silver plates, they certainly wouldn't have had them when they were new.
I bought a brand new Triumph Spitfire Mk 4 in Pimento red first reg 1st January 1973, and had black and silver mirrorline plates fitted.Strictly speaking these were illegal because the black and white/ black and silver plates finished the day before, although I was never stopped, as the car could have been registered in August 1972 with a "L" plate.

Agreed, very good B road cars, I guess the lack of width helps. I sold my TR6 nearly ten years ago. A 1972 "150hp" in pimento, with overdrive on 2/3/4 and a factory hardtop that I never bothered using. A forced sale and still much regretted. Sold it to gentleman who'd driven down from Stoke and wanted a hobby car for his retirement. He agreed to buy it while we were out on the test drive but didn’t want his wife to know that he'd paid more than £3000!
