Part of the planned winter work is to fit new carpets.
The old ones were nearly 20 years old, so time for a change and a new colour combo.

Nearly finished, just footwell sides and under seats to glue in.

Looks great. Good job well done by the looks of it.

How much carpet did it take, i presume you bought it by the running meter.

Mmmm.. are those Infinity speakers 9066i type?.. was thinking of some to put in mine but need to cover the existing holes for 6 1/2 " round units that are close to the bend in the back... so lozenge ones will not do... they need to the oval...
.
Carpets look top anyway... biggrin

Carsy-I bought 6.5 linear mtrs, it is 1.5mtrs wide. Some manufacturers make it narrower.
I have about 1.5mtrs left, but it depends how efficiently you cut them.

TVR beaver-they are infinity speakers. You could remove the rear carpets, reglass the sections and start again....I have made mdf mounts to allow easier mounting, instead of trying to screw through the carpets.

I could.. but may not have to if I get the 9033's.. I'd also have to get a new rear carpet so don't want to do that if poss as mine are only 2 years old...
I can see you have spacers... are these the MDF mounts?... also, are you running off an AMP or just the head unit?.....

Cheers biggrin

The spacers are mdf mounts. They are driven by the stereo direct, no amp.

The roll bar is a Sportmotive item. In stock I believe.

Hi ANT, lovely job, did you do the edging yourself? Hope you do not mind me asking, approximately how much did the whole job cost you?

Pete, I got a local trimmer to edge the carpets. Spent about £325 all in(carpet, underlay, edging and 8 cans of adhesive), but they fit a precat properly.
Most of the kits are for 500's , there is a subtle difference.

Ian, the carpet is 80/20 wool from Coverdale.

Also, need to say thanks to Threefishorange, for help and inspiration, he lead the way !!!

Ant.... favour time again smile

Do you still have the templates, I'm missing one bit of carpet and when they recarpeted mine they didn't even make an attempt at the missing bit....... it's the passenger footwell right handside cable covering bit.

Any chance I could have a copy ?

Ant, have you tried D&C Trim for floormats? Trimmed to original TVR specification by ex-factory workers so you still get the originality. I had some made up for the Cerb and they're great quality items, 70 pounds plus delivery.

Excellent news, obviously an easy piece to come un-glued and put to oneside and get lost.....

my carpets are black (changed them from biscuit/yellow a few years ago... never realised there should be a bit of carpet then, until the man who tidied up my electrics told me there should be a bit there)...... hopefully I'll probably get an off cut easily and then just need to get it bound in biscuit to match the rest.
