I think it's between £80 to £100 per track day. You arrange it in advance.

Just tell him nick with the 997 turbo sent you and he should sort you out.

Thanks will give them a try.

Irrespective of which company you use, it is advisable to confirm that you have the option of taking your prize Pork to a repairer OF YOUR CHOICE WITHOUT PENALTY, i.e a OPC, otherwise you will be forced upon an "under the arches" setup using spurious parts in the event of a claim.

Hardly good for maintaining residuals.... nono

This is something I ask them when I get the quotes, the only one that has come with a quote covering track days and your own choice of repairer so far is Mannings.

Don t do track but I have specifically asked Admiral on my multicar and they said can use repairer of my choice.

Take care with Admiral though as ALL options, even factory fitted have to be disclosed which may force the premium up. furious

Renewed my car insurance today With John at Pace Ward for £1343 protected, 6 years NCB, Est value of 70k including all mods, tracker needed.

The track day rates are as follows:

Per UK £89.60 including 6% insurance premium tax and our £6 admin charge with a 10% the value of car excess,

Per EU £102.30 including 6% insurance premium tax and our £6 admin charge with a 12.5% the value of car excess,

Nurburgring is upon referral to the underwriter, and can only be a private organised event.

Mannings are very good. Include trackdays and no notification prior to event required.

I insure with Competition car insurance. Mannings were very similar in terms of annual cost.

The main differences are.

CCI offer up to 5 track days cover per year (more can be purchased at additional cost), two of these can be EU events however, you have to notify them prior to participating in each track day.

Excess for track days is 1,000 plus what every the agreed standard excess is. In my case, it's 1,100.

Mannings policy covers unlimited track days and you don't need to notify them. However, the track day excess is significantly greater. From memory, it's approx 20% of the cars value.

And mine. Not really relevant either as you would be mad to claim for only a few grand of damage.

Another small(!) thing to consider is that many trackday-only policies limit the hourly labour rate to ~£50/hr which won't be enough if it's mechanical work...

Returning to the UK after more than 10yrs abroad. For a '14 plate base Cayman, London, street parking, age 39, no NCB, so far I've been quoted; Admiral-£1,350 Bridle-£2,000 and one very apologetic person from Swinton @ £13,950 (was forwarded to them from ClassicLine who couldn't insure due to lack of UK driving history)

More info on this... I called Admiral and was given a quote. The person said if I filled the same info on their website it would be 10%-15% cheaper... and it was. I had to call them back yesterday though as when going through car selection the options went Cayman --> 2014 --> engine size 2.9L. I called them to say the current model is 2.7L. They reviewed and said they'd have to call the underwriter as this wasn't listed in their system anywhere.

Thanks for this pretty exhaustive list. Can the original post be updated to include other companies mentioned in replies?

Just received a good quote for my 991GT3 from Nowell and Richards as had been heavily recommended from a car collector friend. I spoke to Tom and he knew pretty much everything about my car told me what I was doing and approached a whole host of specialists on my behalf and gave me a chat about which policy gave me the best value. I'm not necessarily worried about finding the rock bottom price of a policy, I'd rather know I'm looked after when I need it as have been burnt before. Couldn't ask more and highly recommended. Have they offered you an agreed value reflecting the current premium over list price on the GT3?

Just thought I'd update this thread;

Competition Car Insurance with track days (7) cover via Bridle with £500xs is £561 comp
Equity Red Star via Flux £300 xs is £365 comp.

Not too unhappy with either and just have to decide if I need the Track day cover as I didn't get out on track last year.

Just edited to add, modified X50 996Turbo, 49 year old driver plus wife to drive, S.D.P. with 5k miles, living rural, car garaged.

Gents, I've received a good quote from Porsche insurance for my new CGTS, any feedback regarding their services? They seem part of Marsh Insurance, quote is competitive.
