We acquired this just before Christmas.
Have done about 500 miles in the big girl so far, with a further 250 planned this weekend.....very comfy and surprisingly brisk.

Looks like a great workhorse, those lumps are twin turbo I think?

270 odd bhp though and 0-60 in 9seconds, quite bad!

Once "new car syndrome" has worn off it will be used mainly for Towing the Horse box.

I very much love the XC90, but I only had £10k for one, and diesel was a must for my mileage - I was however put off by the many reliability worries that could seriously empty the wallet...

You did the right thing getting a T6! Nice car.

watch the G/box on those, they fail quite frequently.... I have lost count how many we have done at work.

Cheers chaps.
I have read EVERYTHING about these cars, and the known issues are well documented esp on the Volvo owners forums.

BTW For what we paid for it I would have been mad to turn it down.
"gift horse...." and all that.

Truly impressed with OH's driving just now, she had to get the horse trailer up a steep muddy track and around a corner into a remote paddock, she handled it without bother at all.....she's better at reversing the XC90 with Trailer on than I am.

Little update:
As you can see the usage is very low, picture taken on Sunday.
"real" Fuel economy is working out 4mpg less than the OBC display, not bad considering it is towing a horse trailer 95% of it's life.

She's still running great, and tows faultlessly.

Zero issues since last update (427 miles since last JULY!) :
XC90 to the rescue the other day while I fixed MissB's popped-off gear selector (see my S60 D5 thread if interested http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... , it was nothing dramatic though).

Started first time (Solar battery charger working great).

Time for a much needed clean and polish (Yes we did the roof as well).

Mileage is still silly low (427 miles since last JULY!!!!!!! ) as she is used even less frequently due to MissB having use of a Horsebox.

Lined the boot with a tarp then filled her with crap and did a tip run.

Service and MOT end of next month.

I love how every single photo which includes the onboard MPG gets lower and lower every time, haha.
What engine is it?

Petrol, 3 litre straight six, twin turbo...272bhp biggrin
Doesn't go bad for a big old girl, tows the horsey trailer effortlessly.

lol this review says it all....I love the "bad" bit hehe

Thanks for the reply.
Interesting engine - could be rather tuneable by the sounds of it...?
