Help Needed 1.9 tdi
Discussion
Looking for some help. Parents 1.9 tdi Golf plus has been going into shut down mode but if you stop the car and start again off she goes again like there is nothing wrong. It has been like that for a few months but now the lambda sensor light on dash has come on. Anyone experienced similar and could point me in right direction? Cheers
TDI won't have a lambda sensor as its a diesel. Suspect that is the engine light. Something is putting it into limp home mode and really a diagnostic check will be the best way to find out what it is. I suspect it is overboost caused by sticky turbo vanes - turbos do that.
Any other details about the car? Age/engine code/mileage etc etc
