I bought these in the early 1980's second hand for a couple of hundred pounds, they had I beleive been previously used in a public house.

In the early 1990's my then 2 year old son decided to poke one of the woofers splitting it then poked both of the tweeters!

They were still working so I refitted the front covers and then a few months later I sprayed the speakers Black as I wasn't keen on the Oak/Teak colour. (wish I'd left them as they were)

So, this brings us up to date. I have been having a clear out in the loft and came across the speakers which have been in a box for the past 15 years, I was going to throw them out but have decided that i want to refurbish them purely for sentimental reasons I have looked on the American JBL site and clicked on the UK part but can't find out much about them.

Does anyone know of anyone thats undertaken such a restoration?

Serial numbers on both speakers are different.

02995 and 03302 are the numbers.

Many thanks in anticipation of any help.

I would speak to http://www.audioloudspeakers.co.uk/boultons.shtml ~ they're likely to be able to sort you out.
