Bose Lifestyle 28 Crashing

I have a Bose Lifestyle 28 that I bought in 2003 that for the past 6 months or so has been crashing on me.

Can be in the middle of a DVD and it will just shut itself down. The only way to restart is to turn off the power at the wall, wait 5 minutes, the restart.

Other times, even if it has not been used for several days, I cannot start it and have to turn off at the wall again.

Any ideas why this is happening? Is it overheating? I live in Sydney so it is not that hot and it has crashed in winter too. Photo attached of how the unit is housed.

Its faulty, there is nothing in there you can fix yourself, take it to your local Bose dealer they have a fixed repair charge that is normally quite reasonable.
