The only downside is that FSti loses the Q car appeal of the XT...
But who cares when It can smash pretty much anything that fancies a go!

Very true - I think an XT would make more of a better daily drive, but that's just being sensible smile

This is mine and I love every inch of it

Post from another forum

The average mpg in my Focus diesel is currently 71.8. Hopefully I can get it back up to 72 which is where it was a few days ago.
My reply

The average mpg in my Subaru Impreza is currently 21.9, hopefully I can get it down to 17.9 which is where it was a few days ago when I had a huge grin on my face

I can see you now, one eye on the road, one on the fuel computer real time mpg and feathering the throttle

I'd sooner be dead

People are obsessed with MPG completely ignoring the biggest cost, depreciation, I got this at a very good price, one owner, no mods , it's still worth 90% of what I paid for it 18 months later

Great post. If only I had the Focus to balance out my fuel economy! Smiles Per Gallon has always been my mantra too though

Glad I've found like-minded individuals. Don't understand peoples obsession with mpg.

Here's our current cars.
The wagon is the Wife's, its a WRX SL with PPP. Heated leather seats, sunroof and room for the german shep in the back.
The other one is my JDM Hawk STI - imported and tweaked by Ian Litchfield with a stage 2 package and 400bhp.

Bought it a few weeks ago off ebay to muck about in.
I have the two tyres leant against it for sale.
205/70 r15 Ovation covered only 1500m.
I fitted AT Tyres
