I will shortly be looking to purchase a Bentley up to around £45k. This will more than likely be an Arnage T and I wondered if anyone out there could help me with the following questions:

It seems that a good 2002 / 2003 Arnage T can be acquired for about £30k, even less for a 2001 model. However, the 2004 / 2005 onwards jump up to a starting price of around £40K.

Please can anyone tell me, is the newer facelift model really that much better in terms of engineering refinement and comfort.... and is it worth the extra £10K?

Or, is it really just that!.... A facelift giving it new headlamps and a couple of internal cosmetic upgrades ie; new armrest etc?

Wikipedia's page on the Arnage, mentions that there was a facelift in 2005, but that's it! There is no details on whether or not this enhanced the car in anyway other than in it's appearance.

So, do I spend £40K on the later model, or buy a 2002 / 2003 and save the extra £10K for servicing, fuel and repairs!

Any information that anyone can give regarding these changes on 2005 facelift, and more importantly, any benefits that it brought to the car, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Allister

IIRC, the facelift also involved revised suspension and chassis; 19" wheels made std on the 'T'. There were some interior changes as well and I think satnav was included.

Whether it's worth the extra I can't say as I haven't driven one.
