Hi all, I'm buying a nearly new car and have been offered this Safeguard paint and upholstery protection package. It's about £350 but supposedly comes with a lifetime warranty (against things like paint fading). Apparently it involves covering the interior in something that makes it water repellent, and sealing the external paintwork in Teflon.

I'm not sure if this is worth it, as it's the same price as a professional detailing job and a few top ups. What do you reckon?

Cheers

Dont waste your money on Supaguard!!

You would certainly be better off getting a professional detailer to do the work. In most dealerships the valeters are given minimal time and little training in how to prepare and protect cars to a high standard which often result in the treatment being applied incorrectly and over a poor paint finish. When we carry out our new car treatments we spend at least a day on the car getting it perfect whilst most dealerships would only spend a hour or 2 on a car.

Much better products out there such as Gtechniq to protect the paintwork
