Jock, I was going to put a link to my thread about when I changed the facia (ski slope?) on my car to painted piano black. Alas, it seems you have beaten me to it.

So anyone know what's involved in removing the ski slope and the satnav cover piece? Screws? Snap-off?

So from the looks of it, you don't need to do all the unscrewing prior to popping off the ski slope(?). The unscrewing seems to be necessary for taking out the radio and not the ski slope...

That's correct.
Just make sure that whatever you use to lever under the top panel is placed in the middle (between front and back).
That's the easiest position to 'pop it' out without using much force.
