(something went wrong on my previous post) Any suggestions for shops in SG which sell normal shaped shirts for Europeans ( work and casual shirts ) most shops here seem to stock shirts for stick-insect Asian physiques - super skinny sleeves or baggy collar (if the rest fits !)Anyone else here find this as well - or just me? M and S would fit but the choice is rather dull. Any ideas welcome

Go to a tailors and get them made.
Think Bing o has one he uses.
I have not been doing the suited and booted thing for a while now but usually get my posh toggs from CYC in Raffles Hotel.
Geting 5 or 6 made at a shot should be about $70 - 100 a pop.
Otherwise go to Amazon.com and use vpost to get them delivered.
ETA not fantastic i know but there is a Charles Thirwitt (sp) in MBS and Vivo, not sure if they do Ang Moh or Local cuts though ....

If the price of a tailored shirt concerned me i would plan a weekend to either BKK or Hoi An in Vietnam and get some decent tailoring done for a fraction of the price and have a wicked weekend whilst there. 5. How are you?

Indeed we did have lunch, and most pleasant it was too.
Re shirts, I go to a place called Dansen's boutique in Lucky Plaza (I think). Does good discounts and the quality is good enough for work. I also use Clothesmith, but I think they cater more to the slim armed variety of Asian customer. However unlike Dansen's they do do fittings for the shirts so you will get something you like (at a price) at the third attempt. I'm off to Hoi An soon so will be taking Phumy's advice of an afternoon where I'm not golfing!

Lucky plaza is just up the road from me so will have a look. ..would be interested to hear what hoi an is like as a short break destination ( my planned Vietnam Xmas trip was switched to NZ ... But still have Hanoi , hoi an and some other spots on the hit list )

I use these guys. $49-69 a shirt with discounts if you order a few. http://www.marcella.com.sg/Very pleased. They stuffed up the fit and correct it by remaking the entire shirt. Great service. The materials do differ with some wearing out quite quickly, but most have been spot on.

Cheers for this one ... seen them before but the shop just looks like $300 a pop so never ventured in Will give them a go, like the fact that once measured you can order more online too!!!
