Going to look at a few Coopers and Cooper S' tomorrow and hopefully will be bringing one home. Considering looking at this one and will be doing a history check beforehand.

I am a bit concerned about the bonnet shut lines on the two side on images and wondered if the Mini owners on here might have any thoughts? Also is there anything to look out for on 2001-2004 Coopers and Cooper S'.

Thanks

Didnt see the mileage on that. They havent closed the bonnet properly, thats why its high on the passenger side.Looks clean but only can see small pictures.

Thanks for the reply Justin. Just found out the mileage is 135,000 so will be looking elsewhere.

Its far too cheap to have a reasonable mileage

I knew that would be the bad part. Looks a good car other than that though.

FWIW I bought the other half one last year - 03, 50k, chilli/heated front screen/6 disk/cant remember what else for 4.5k

Set aside £300 for a new PAS pump if its still on the original - it will stopworking at some point. Definately get a facelift if you can. I couldnt get one in budget unfortunately - they have better xenons (that dont break) and shorter gear ratios, the ones on the prefacelift are very long

My 53 Cooper S is advertised in autotrader and seems to be sticking. Just under £4k with top spec inc. sunroof but with 90k miles. Should I drop the price or is it just post Christmas and nobody wants to battle through the snow/ice to see a car for the last couple of weekends?

What do you think?
