Has anyone had their Evora out in the snow?

Dare not take take mine out...seems stupidly risky given the Land Rover on the drive...but I do wonder, how would it fare?

It's on Lotus recommended Yokohama W-Drive tyres and surprisingly usable!

With the right winter tyres it should be okay. On default tyres... err... no...

I've driven mine about 50-100 miles on a very snowy motorway. No problems at all. Great fun on roundabouts!

Great photo! I love it. In the snow / ice I couldn't get in to mine. Door and boot frozen shut. Felt as though the spoiler was going to break if I pulled it anymore.

Those Yoko W drives are great, better than some winter Firestones I am running at the moment.

One when everything froze shut...


...and another when I realised the rear window element is missing a few bars...


And on to the 'beam. It's been in the family since the '60s and was restored at Beaulieu. It doesn't look only a few years older than yours, amazing what a flat tank does to looks... It's going in for a mini resto in April which is much needed. It is great fun to ride but is a nightmare to start and there is always a problem - oil leaks, petrol leaks, small fires, clutch slippage etc.

Jesus...I don't even like taking mine out in the rain and keep it in an integral fully insulated garage. Mega cold temps surely can't be too good for car that can be slightly mechanically and electronically temperamental ....any problems as a result? On that note, the spanner that was staying on for 30 sec or so on start up has cured itself..result!

Errr... nope.

Most nights were reaching between -10 to -15 that week, so too cold to drive it anyway. I will probably get a cover for it once those rats on wings called wood pigeons come out in force, but that will have to be it.

I buggered a glove up last year when I had to put the RH exhaust back on ours on the side of the road. I wasn't even riding it at the time, my brother was but it was decided as my gloves were older they'd be sacrificed on the hot exhaust

All part of the fun!

Mine has a dry and slightly milder home but it's too useable and no niggles due to the cold weather apart from not being able to get in to it....
