Theoretically I'd say yes. You could have 5 children (but ideally more, probably around ten) and that should be enough to prevent inbreeding and ensure separation of the gene pool but you'd have to be very careful and ensure no incest.

Only if they're hetero.

IIRC the Rosetta mission is to find out if "life" and water was delivered to earth on a comet. Shirley that still doesn't answer the question about where life and water came from. It's like a child asking where milk comes from and the parent replies "a shop" when the correct answer is a cow.
yep, that's one of those irritating things about natural history. Some people will claim life is too complex to just evolve, it must have come from being seeded by a comet, and skipping over the fact that just pushes the question on another step.

I'd think without a rigorous and unpleasant policy of eugenics within a couple of generations you'd have a fairly large problem.

Mongs is a rather unpleasant slang term for Downs Syndrome. That's a condition that has nothing to do with the genetic closeness of the parents.

I have a question I am always reminded of when cruising the freeway; why does it seem as if all people of Asian persuasion drive as if it is the first or second time they have ever been behind the wheel of a moving vehicle? Seriously, no disrespect meant, but in my experience and observation it seems to be that the majority of the times when there is someone holding traffic up during rush hour by driving well below the speed of everyone else and in the wrong lane it turns out to be an Asian, most of the time a woman too. And they are always sitting straight up mashed against the steering wheel holding on with both hands white knuckling tight and with an expression of what seems to be intense concentration with a dab of fear. If I honk the horn at them or do anything to try and get their attention they still remain perfectly still. I am not sure if it so because they have perfect concentration or if it is because they are just totally clueless as to what is going on around them. I sincerely believe that these people and other drivers like them NEVER once look in their rear view mirrors. I have come to this conclusion based on th fact that no one can be that stupid or arrogant enough not to notice the miles of cars behind them they have single-handedly been holding up for countless miles and not move over to the correct lane so as to alleviate the congestion.

Is it? i picked the term as i didn't think it was attached to any particular condition. No offence meant.

Mong is short for Mongoloid/Mongolism which was used when I was growing up as a neutral (and, if I recall correctly, technical) description of those with Downs as they had features similar to the Mongol tribes. I guess it was deemed racist at some point (wiki says it became unacceptable in the 70s which I agree with), usage faded away and the use of Downs became the norm. In the 70s, I don't remember it being shortened to Mong to be used as an insult - that seemed to come later. As a result, oddly, I don't normally immediately associate the two, though they are one and the same.

Why do all the roads around Heathrow Terminal 5 begin with "W"? A tribute to Willy Walsh?

An alarming number of countries around the world have a system of awarding a driving license based upon nothing more than demonstrating an ability to drive a car forward and backwards and the payment of a 'fee' to the awarding officer....and off they go. Roads in these parts of the world are not policed and have what are not so much driving regulations, more driving 'suggestions'. What's more alarming is that possession of a license from many of these countries permits the holder to drive - for a few months at least - in developed countries with well-policed roads. They are simply daunted.

Probably because it's the western end of the airport?

Lane discipline in USA / Canada in general is shocking from my experience. You and my Canadian pals would get along well, they all say the Asians are the worst. Racist suggestions about narrow eyes and poor peripheral vision oft cited as to reasons why...

it's pretty hard to drive really badly in the USA and Canada because you usually have about 5 lanes to play with, including one that is solely dedicated to the next on or off slip, plus at least a miles warning that there might be some traffic lights coming up to stop at. Plus the local traffic gets its own separate roads down the side. You have to make some real effort to be st at negotiating that.

What are the tiny vanes for on the front wings of F1 cars these days? What are they trying to do to the airflow? I would have thought a nice clean front wing not covered in tat would be prefereable, but it's obvioulsy doing something.

In addition to diet points, they are generally far more "feminine" in the traditional sense. Especially when it comes to clothes, dressed up to go to the shops and not going for "comfort" with their onesie/ sweatpants.
Now, onesies are an abomination and instant turnoff, but sweatpants? lick
Although I'm not convinced by the validity of the original assumptions regarding women of any particular decent. Perhaps this view has been formed through over exposure to internet pornography?

When I was in Bulgaria a few years ago I was amazed with the local women. It was a struggle to find any that weren't attractive, the prostitutes were about the only ones, funnily enough.

They did look very serious though, couldn't help but get the impression they hated holidaymakers.

The front wings are designed to do two things mainly. The end plates and multitude of wings are to give front end downforce to allow high speed turn into corners with the minimum amount of drag but they're also designed to try and force the airflow around the front tyres which are majorly unaerodynamic. The centre section however is designed to allow a smooth flow of ait under the car so it can be 'worked' more efficiently by the floor and barge boards.

Have to disagree. The standard of driving in the USA is f'ing horrendous! The stats by which ever metric you use to measure clearly show this. In my state alone (the same size of England 50Ksq miles), has nearly the same amount of road deaths per year as the UK with but with only 1/6th of the population.
Road layouts are terrible, running red lights is perfectably acceptable, (I've seen two pedestrians hit by cars), there is no such thing as 'road positioning' - I have an insane picture of a truck double parked - on the junction to a main road - blocking a zebra crossing while they unload - perfectly acceptable. I've seen two posted speed signs in the three years of driving round city of Chicago. No-one has a clue what the speed limit is in the city, meaning you have people (and taxi's) easily hitting 60 mph on city and residential streets with the usual carnage ensuing. The whole time living in the UK for 20 years in village/cities I saw one crash actually happen (I was a passenger in it). I saw three crashes happen in front of me within 6 months of landing in Chicago (two T-bones at intersections of people running lights, one flipping his truck in front when they fell asleep on the freeway) not to mention the number of aftermaths witnessed as there are plenty. The driving test is laughably easy and near impossible to fail. Sorry ranting a bit, but living here seeing first hand the standard of driving compared to the UK it's insane.
