www.prolong.uk.com/

If you want the Waterless Cleaning products then go directly to the website.

They also do engine and tranny protection stuff.

I can endorse their product wholeheartedly. The ONLY polish you can use on a black car in direct sunlight when you can fry an egg on the bonnet without smearing, without white residue and without generating static. Beats others hollow. I've got about 20 bottles of polish, including Meguiars Gold Class and Prolong beats them or matches them with a fraction of the effort. Join the AACI and get a discount too.

I'm always a bit sceptical about these "wonder" products especially at Billing when they offered to demo it on my car - I politley declined. However, if you guys are recommending it, then that's good enough for me. I just happen to have a free sample in my boot at the moment courtesy of Vetteheadracer - will try it out tommorrow.

So my recommendations at Billing weren't good enough Richard!!!! Maybe if I had a yellow C5????? - LOL

I too am happy to wax lyrical about the Prolong products. I used their oil treatment this week and my engine has never run so smooth. It also seems to have improved the oil pressure - not too sure about that - might be psychological as the gauge is a bit "iffy"

I've checked out their web page & the waterless cleaner sounds pretty good, however I just wondered how effective it is at removing dead flies!!!!!

It shifts everything. Personally i wouldn't use anything without washing the car first but it's truly amazing and I don't give out praise easily. Lckily, the guy who sells it lives locally so I can call in and buy some. Here's how good it is - I would rather wait and buy some more than use the stuff in the garage.

No offence Steve, but the demo they were offering was on my car after some 200 miles of wet driving with the associated grime on it and without the benefit of a wash. I was worried about road dirt being swirled around on my paintwork.

I'm with Wayne and would want to always wash the car first before applying any polish.

Richard - if I had a lovely new C5 like yours, I assure you that I would be far more cautious than I am with my "Nikki"

I am just glad that you are going to try it as I am so impressed with the Prolong products.

Hey Mark - welcome to the the forum.
Yes, that was the same company at the Nats.

I've tried a small area on my car and it certainly seems very easy to use. I would have done more but I was borrowing someone else's (Nige - you need some more. I reckon Brett gave your Prolong a good hammering and that's why he passed it onto me with some lame excuse that he had no room for it in his car)

Yeah, but I'm the one "holding the baby". I needed to offer an explanation to protect my position and reputation. I am obviously in the clear now.

Oh dear Mark. If you are looking for informative, serious, inspired and worthwhile comment you're in the wrong place. If you are into piss taking, you've found the forum to beat all forums. (I reckon you will fit in very well.......)

BTW I would say that Prolong has some merit and there are people who have posted above who rate it. I won't be getting any just yet as I'm about to try a product called Zaino which the US Vette owners go wild about.
