Hi,

Having been a long time lurker on the pistonheads forums I thought it was about time I came out of the shadows and said hello.

I've had numerous warm/hot hatches over the years and recently I have been looking for a project/weekend car - something to enjoy and also to tinker with and improve my mechanical skills.

Here is my latest ebay punt - a classic Saab 900 t 16(s):

It is pretty rare being the 2-door saloon (or notchback). Car is in good condition having only covered 104,000 miles - masses of history and bills stretching back from when it was new so it has been well cared for through the years. Bodywork is great for the age of it - only a couple of rust spots on the door bottoms and a small bubble on the sunroof. Drives great. There are a few bits and bobs that will require attention but nothing of immediate concern. Roll on the good weather so I can go out and enjoy it!

Cheers

Gerry

Fantastic looking car smile

I had a 5 door 900 turbo a few years back and it was lovely - quirky, but lovely. Also cavernous - several people moved house in it. I think it shared some heritage with the tardis.

That looks a nice tidy car smile

My poor wee 900t cab is still waiting to go to the paint shop. Then I need to treat her with loving care and get her back on the road for the summer. Had a new bonnet for her for over a year now as the hinge broke, and didn't fancy a stty weld on it. New door cards as well. Already done the tyres and exhaust and a full underseal.

Looks great, you don't see many 2-door ones around.
What is the sliding button on the left steering column stalk? is that Cruise control?

Nice car, the 2 dr is a nice choice too - lots of fun.

I'll be back in a c900 this summer and I can't wait. They just have such a great chassis.

Yep, the t16s had it as standard iirc.

I think they only made around 300 so pretty rare. I'll need to double check the story book.

Yup, spot on. Still works as do all the other electrics. I can't complain for £500
