Fellow Haymarket chaps Autosport are looking for a developer. I happened to mention that we have a few of those lurking on PH and so I offered to share the job spec here.

Autosport.com, the world’s most respected motor racing website, is looking for a developer to join its rapidly expanding technical team.
You will work across the Autosport digital portfolio and be involved from day one in developing a diverse range of products, from paid-content solutions to mobile.
This is a fast-moving environment, so adaptability and a willingness to tackle new and often complex technologies is vital. You will value your contribution to the team and be passionate about well structured code, standards and usability.
You will have strong browser and cross platform experience and an understanding of information architecture would be an advantage.
Our chosen candidate will also be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, along with resourcefulness, stamina and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Person Specification
- 2+ years commercial development experience with Object Orientated PHP
- Zend Framework and Drupal experience advantageous
- MySQL / database design skills
- Apache
- Experience of high traffic, high availability, load-balanced web applications
- Javascript/Ajax (particularly JQuery and JSON)
- HTML/CSS
- Integrating with third-party APIs (e.g. Google Maps, Twitter API, Facebook Open Graph etc)
- Experience with version control systems (preferably Git)
- Good Linux sysadmin skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in cars and motorsport an advantage but not essential
