This has happened three times in the last week. I was driving along at a gentle pace as I do before the oil reaches temperature, then suddenly the oil pressure light came on and the oil pressure dropped to 0. I lifted off the throttle and it came back to 4.7 bars. I have had this issue shortly after using the car in the morning three times in one week.

Any ideas?

I'm having a few issuses as well with the oil warning light coming for no reason, one day it's fine and the next it comes on a few time on one trip... It might be an oil pressure sensor

I sure did. It's currently at the fish and I've been advised by Roger that she's all sorted with a new switch thumbup Just have a few other bits to get sorted then hopefully she'll be ready to collect.

My symptoms were slightly different. My pressure reading didn't go back up under throttle. For me, the "check engine" warning came on, it played the warning tones, the pressure gauge went up to 5, back down, back up to 5, then dropped all the way down and stayed at the bottom until you next started her up.

After manually confirming there was oil pressure, I drove her all the way to the fish pretty much reading just shy of '1' on the gauge with no change.

Roger may be able to give futher info.

How did you check the oil pressure manually, with the dip stick?

Sorry, gave the wrong impression. I didn't check it myself, a local garage did using a
Oil pressure gauge plugged into the sump I believe. I had the car transported there just in case. Once they confirmed it was safe to drive, I took it to monkfish asap.

I'm not sure if there's a way to check yourself unless you've got the gear.

You need an oil pressure tester not a cheap bit of kit though my one was @ £350 quid
