Maybe just currents stirring up plains silt off the beaches? Its a similar colour to the tone the glacial-fed lakes get from silt.

the colour is enhanced. Zoom in near to the shoreline and you will see what it really looks like.
but the swirls are there

That would be the one, colour enhanced silt
