Impressive work there and a very nice result.
I was wondering : how time-consuming was the lowering of the steering shaft (as I'm about to plan such a 'feat' on my own car) ?
Were there any special tools / fabrications necessary,
or is it just a matter of fitting spacers on the studs (or maybe special studs/welds are needed?)?
Thanks heaps for any hints !
Cheers !

rear axle refurbed ,finally got rid of renaults rubber and plastic gear stick ball pivot, spherical bearinged it along with some other bits to make it work and still allow reverse to be selected in normal way ,now with self made tethered engine mounts (solid to unreliable ,cause to many breakages)nylon not good enough for track use ,gearstick relocated 3 inch further back and sadev quick shift copy link the gear selection is 10 times better than standard , a gear is selected every time you move the stick not as standard when pressing on gear s cannot be selected due to standard stick ,engine mis alignment .alot of people rubbish renaults gear boxs but they are not the problem it is the misalignment issues that cause the gearboxs to break or have issues due to people forcing it into gear when really pushing on
