The monster has arrived for a refit in Falmouth:

Edit: to also mention she is now renamed M5.

What do they do if they need to change a sail on a boat that big?

We recently changed the staysail on a bigger yacht than that, and slightly less recently removed all the sails while the masts were out for painting. Not as big a job as you might imagine. Just the same as a small boat but with more people and bigger cranes. smile

Yep, big cranes, the rig in question on M5 is 90m (295') tall, I will try and find out the Mainsail spec.

A bit taller than ours. We can fit under the Bridge of the Americas (just).

I popped up to the docks in Southampton when they stepped the rig on M5, its a biggun! To my mind, she's not a very nice boat either, not good looking at all, just big, an excellent demo of big not being best.

$50m seems an often quoted figure.
