The Potential fuel strike - sympathy?

I have a feeling what the answer to this question may be; asking it on a car enthusiasts forum! However what are peoples thoughts on the strike that may ensue?

Do people think:

'...well hey it's a pain but they have to get what they want'

Or is it more like:

'The selfish bds, we are all feeling the squeeze in the current economic climate, grit your teeth and get on with it..'?

Personally my gut reaction is o think the latter as I think what they are doing only smacks of self centred thinking but admittedly I do not know all the reasons for complaint they have other than 'working conditions and health and safety'
