Gentlemen,

Wanted to let you know that I am working on building an online registry to try to keep a Tabulation of all presently registered (or known) Turbo Rs around the globe. Working on the domain information now and will let you all know when it's live. You will be able to enter your particular motor car's details such as year, color(s), present mileage, status (running or not), and also be able to upload a photo. To my knowledge, there isn't anything like this online yet, so it should be a worthwhile venture!

Cheers,
Aaron

Why re invent the wheel

rrec.org.uk/Member_Services/Databases/Cars.php

Will give you a flying start and they list all of the cars known to them not just members.

The other site to look at is

http://www.rrsilverspirit.com/models/index.htm

This is site which gives full details of all of the models made and in conjunction with

http://www.rrsilverspirit.com/chnrs2/index.htm

you can then tell from the chassis numbers all sorts of things such as engine size, aspiration etc.

Good Luck

Paul

I'm trying for "www.TurboRegistry.com" but yeah, "TurboR.com" is also good.

Well, my mate is working on it, so once its live, I'll let the board know so we can begin to put some entries in!

Great idea, as the RREC or BDC don't actually have anything like this, or so specific. There used to be the Bentley R type Continental register, which was superb, but appears to have dropped off the radar since Christian Hueber passed away.

TurboR.com would be good, if possible.

Balmoral,

Yeah, I didn't think there was another Turbo R only registry on the 'net anywhere. I know there are compilations of SY or SZ chassis, etc..but I don't really give a tat about anything other than Turbo Rs (even though I do have a Shadow as well)

Now, do I include Mulsanne Turbos or just Rs proper??

TurboR.com and .net are not available but all the others, including .co.uk are free. Good luck.

Will a '98 Brooklands R qualify??

Technically, any blown SZ chassis car *could* qualify, but that's something for pub debate I guess! What do you guys think?? Keep it very specific (i.e. Turbo Rs only so no Mulsanne Turbos and no Brooklands) or count the others? The only thing is that then we may have to let a few RR Flying Spurs in....

Any blown SZ would be my choice, you can't keep early Mulsanne's out, or late Brooklands, or even those with the square shouldered radiator smile

But, it is your website, if you want only Turbo R's, keeping it pure, icons only...

can, open, worms everywhere biggrin

Ok, any blown SZ BENTLEY it will be. Not to be harsh to the Roller guys (heck, I have a double-R too) but I'll put that list on coffin-dodgers.com biggrin
